Dear W.E.S. Family,
I am elated to share that WES received two awards this school year. The National Character Education Award for "Promising Practices" and the New Jersey "emerging" School of Character award. I am very proud to share that our mantra is “working towards excellence in school” (W.E.S.). The staff and I work to ensure that our students experience a rigorous and academically successful school year. I am confident in sharing that Washington has made great strides and will continue to maintain high academic standards.
We strive to nurture our students, meet their needs, cultivate their interests, and help them grow academically and socially. We recognize that each child is an individual and each brings unique talents to our learning community; that's what makes WES so special. At WES, children come first! There is much to celebrate at WES and we are proud to be rewarded, daily, by the smiles on our students' faces!
Please join our e-communicator by clicking here to stay abreast of school information. I look forward to maintaining relationships with each of you. I ask for your continued support on school committees, the PTO, and during our monthly family nights.
Let us know how to better serve your children and how you would like to be further involved in their education. I believe a home-school community partnership is a powerful one. It is the one that will bring maximum success to our students this coming year.
