All About Mrs. Gaspar

Hi there!  I am Mrs. Gaspar and here is a little about myself.
I am married with two sons.  My favorite past times are spending time with my family and friends, baking, listening to music and drawing.

I graduated from Caldwell University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology.  I hold NJ State Standard Teaching Certificates in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education.

I started here in Roselle in 2007 as an Instructional Aide in a Behavioral Disabilities class.  A couple of years after that, I started as an Instructional Aide in a First Grade Inclusion class.  The next year, was my year to move up the professional ladder in Roselle and I obtained a classroom teacher's position as a First Grade teacher.  I worked in first grade for 3 years.

In the beginning of last year, I was out on maternity leave.  When I returned in December, I started teaching third grade.  This school year, I am happy to loop with my students and am a fourth grade teacher.

Throughout my career in Roselle, I have taught the Before the Bell and After the Bell program several times in grades kindergarten to four.  I also taught the ELL summer program at GWJHS for two summers with grades three to six.

Before my journey brought me to Roselle, I taught Kindergarten for two years in the private sector.  I also was a Day Care Center Director.

My heart is in my career.  I look out for the academic, social and emotional well being of all my students.   I always tell my students, that I do not have 2 children, I have 20 or 25 or 28 children (depending on the number of students in my class plus my own two).

I look forward to an amazing 2014-2015 school year!
